Seasons Series, 2004-2007 Mixed
media paintings on Arches BFK paper. In 2004, Kerry began a mixed media on paper series called “Autumn Midday” which soon grew to include other seasons, i.e. “Spring Midday” and “Spring Lateday”, and “Summer Lateday” as well as “Autumn Midnite”. Over the years she has used forms of nature as inspiration for all her work, whether sculpture or mixed media. This series is about the change of seasons and sequences of time (hence the horizontal format). It is about the beauty of nature and the need to bring some of that nature into our lives reminding us of the natural cycle of life. |
